Now that we are home and have had time to reflect on the past week at Miss America, we (the TC Directors) can honestly say that Brooke did an amazing job. She nailed her on stage question - her talent was absolutely rock solid - she was a finalist for the Quality of Life Award - she raised over $12,000 for CMN. She simply was an amazing representative. We always say that Miss America is found at the "local level" and we still firmly believe that we have a Miss America. She didn't bring home the crown, but she won the hearts of thousands who heard her perform. Brooke's future is bright. To have played even a small part in her quest for Miss America has been an honor.
We wish Brooke all the best as she continues her year as Miss Minnesota. She will be a hard act to follow! Congratulations to our Miss Twin Cities 2009, and our Miss Minnesota 2009, Brooke Kelly Kilgarriff.
YOU have made us so proud!

The buzz around here today is that Miss America 2009 Katie Stam became engaged last night during the "Evening of Dreams" event for CMN, a black tie fund raiser. Her boyfriend proposed to her in front of the huge crowd and she said YES!!! Katie has done an amazing job as Miss America.

*Note from TC Director: I don't care what anyone says, Brooke ROCKED that auditorium last night with her talent performance. It was simply unbelievable. Not taking away from Miss California who was a beautiful ballerina, but Brooke by far has the best vocals in the competition. We are very proud of her!
